From the 16th to the 25th of July 2023, 348 young chemists from 89 countries met at ETH Zurich for the first International Chemistry Olympiad in Switzerland. Numbers, facts and takeaways from the event can now be read up on in the final report.

The 55th International Chemistry Olympiad ended with a closing ceremony on Monday afternoon, 24 July. Out of 348 participants, 217 were awarded gold, sil​ver, or bronze medals. The Swiss team got an "honourable mention."
